Founded in 1917, the Johnson Monument Company has provided memorials throughout Wisconsin with high quality, distinctive monuments for nearly a century.

Managed by Al W. Thompson
We've grown with the Chippewa Valley, and, in 1962, we moved into our 12,000-foot production facility near the Chippewa Falls "tank farm". Click here to read the August 10, 1962 Chippewa Herald-Telegram article about our move (Page 2). Prior to moving into our current facility, all of our memorials were hand-cut and hand-carved - our first sandblasting machine was one of only four in the country when it was installed in 1962!
Since 1962, we've kept up with the latest memorial-creation technology, but we still do business the old-fashioned way; our customers are still the driving force in our business, and we treat each and every one with the dignity and respect they deserve. We look forward to growing with the Chippewa Valley and Wisconsin in our second century of business!
